Oldham Borough Council on 11th April 2019 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the entire length of Chapel Street Shaw

The alternative route is via Rochdale Road/Milnrow Road/King Albert Street – in both directions.

The Order is to be made for public safety due to a collapsed roof and will be in force for a maximum period of 6 months from 11th April 2019, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
