The Oldham Borough Council on 4th November 2019 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Chapel Street Shaw its entire length. The alternative route is via Rochdale Road/Milnrow Road/King Albert Street – in both directions.

The Order is to be made for stabilisation works to the church building and will be in force for a maximum period of 4 months from 4th November 2019, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
