I have spoken to the Council this morning and they are trying to get an update from the contractor; all being well, the road should be open this afternoon.
If this is the case, arranging additional measures now, will be pointless.
If the closure will be on for a longer period then they will suspend the bus lane along Market Street.
This water leaks been running for over a week! Oldham council, knowing congestion in the area is bad they should have been ahead of the curve ready to act and suspend the bus lane. It bottlenecks here very all the time!
Interested to know what are the plans when work begins and on Moss Hey and the Asda petrol station. Are we still going to be running a bus lane on Market street with one-way traffic?
UU not council deal with this and just informed Council on day they dug u road, I have been told, therefore common sense measures could not be taken. They do it all the time.
I equally interested – Petrol Station will cause problems addition houses more so – we push planning to make sure they improve the road network and traffic flows.
