Mosshey Street housing development
These 65 affordable and share ownership properties are being developed by the Great Places Housing Group.
The development is progressing well in terms of the build progress, with most of the plots build commencing.
However, they are having other challenges which they are continuing to move forward with such as the discharge of planning, section agreements and resolving of the warranty transfer.
They are hopeful to have the first residents move in Autumn/ Winter this year.
See past post for background and more information.
Mosshey Street housing development – Howard Sykes (mycouncillor.org.uk)
I am amazed that so many houses are being built there – it is on a flood plain; overlooks a scrap yard, tram station and mill and worst of all is too close to a nature reserve with herons, deer etc. I myself have seen a ‘black cat’ there twice.
In theory all these issued were addressed in the planning application a couple of years ago. I am not sure they have and have already had issues about drainage and the impact on the wild life area.
