Will be residential if my informal sources are correct. Flats as per recent planning application that was with drawn. All depends how greedy developer and seller are which in the mean time does not help us do something about an eye sore that blights our town centre.
It’s not just an eyesore it’s also an accident waiting to happen. I live behind the cricketers and it is a magnet for youths who like to sit in the back yard and climb onto the flat roof.
I just pray something is done with it soon – even if they just knock it down – I recently witnessed 2 youths on the roof at the back, one of which took it upon himself to smash all the glass on the glass roof part whilst actually walking over some of the unbroken panes at the same time too – obviously I informed the police who arrived just as the boys were leaving.
ASB and criminal damage etc need to always be reported to the police even if it takes ages to get through. As you are aware both I am my colleagues are keen to see something done about this blot on our area and continue to press the owner and use whatever legal power Oldham Council has.
